Black & White cookies

Creativity comes in all forms. I love to bake. I love being creative and adding my own touches to a recipe or idea. Here is a cookie I recently started making. My boys have asked for the several times in just the past week or so. I had fun adding the fronsting design this last time. It makes them fun and fancy but really is super easy. I will try some new designs next time.

  1. Mix dry ingredients and set aside. Mix wet ingredients in the order given. Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Using a large cookie scoop or ice cream scoop, put 6 scoops per cookie sheet. I sprayed my scoop with cooking spray between every other cookie to make it release easier. Bake for 16-18 minutes in a 350° oven. Cookies should not be shiny and not indent when touched and only slightly browned around the edges.

  1. Mix everything for vanilla frosting. Divide frosting in half. Add cocoa and additional milk as needed for chocolate frosting. I used a pipping bag for each flavor of frosting. pipe an outline with each flavor and some more in the middle. Spread with a knife to fill in. Make sure to keep each color separate. With a toothpick swirl each color in to each other, dragging the colors across midline.
Recipe Notes

I added the extra vanilla frosting to my chocolate dipped strawberries.
